  • 8 tablespoons melted butter (for filling)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let sit until frothy (about 5 minutes).
  2. In a stand mixer, mix flour, salt, and sugar; add the yeast mixture and knead until combined.
  3. Gradually add softened butter while kneading until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rise in a covered bowl for about 30 minutes or until doubled.
  5. Roll out dough into a rectangle; spread melted butter on top and sprinkle with brown sugar, white sugar, and cinnamon.
  6. Roll tightly and cut into pieces; place in a greased baking pan.
  7. Prepare caramel sauce by combining melted butter, brown sugar, heavy cream, cinnamon, and salt in a saucepan; pour over buns.
  8. Let rise again for another 30 minutes before baking at 350°F for about 25-30 minutes or until golden.
