  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed

  • 1/3 cup dairy-free butter, diced into small cubes and softened
  • 4 cups apples, peeled and chopped
  • 3 tablespoons melted dairy-free butter
  • 2 tablespoons gluten-free all-purpose flour with xanthan gum
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract (alcohol-free)
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and grease an 8" x 8" baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix topping ingredients: flour, oats, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, and butter until crumbly; refrigerate.
  3. In another bowl, combine chopped apples with lemon juice, melted butter, almond milk, vanilla extract, sugar, cinnamon, and flour; stir well.
  4. Pour apple mixture into the baking dish and top with the crumble.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown; cool slightly before serving.
