  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon pineapple juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 cup fresh pineapple, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, rice vinegar, pineapple juice, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper until smooth. Set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp; cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink. Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté garlic and ginger for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add prepared sauce to the skillet and simmer for 1-2 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Return shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce; simmer for another minute.
  6. Stir in chopped pineapple and cook for an additional minute.
  7. Drizzle with sesame oil; add lime juice and cilantro before serving with green onion garnish.
