  • 3 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Cream of tartar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Separate the egg whites from the yolks into two bowls.
  3. In the bowl with the yolks, mix in softened cream cheese and salt until smooth.
  4. Whip egg whites (and cream of tartar if using) until stiff peaks form.
  5. Gently fold the yolk mixture into the whipped egg whites.
  6. Spoon six mounds onto the prepared baking pan and flatten slightly.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Cool on the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
