Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup almond milk (or any non-dairy milk)
  • 2½ teaspoons instant dry yeast
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ⅓ cup canola oil (or any preferred vegetable oil)
  • 3⅓ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup vegan butter (for filling)
  • ½ cup brown sugar (for filling)
  • 4 teaspoons cinnamon (for filling)
  • ¾ cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 1½ tablespoons dairy-free milk (for glaze)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Warm almond milk until slightly warm; sprinkle in yeast. Let sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Stir in sugar and oil, then mix in flour and salt until a dough forms; knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes.
  3. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm place for about 90 minutes until doubled.
  4. Mix vegan butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon for the filling. Roll out dough into a rectangle, spread filling evenly, then roll tightly and slice into pieces.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Arrange rolls on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Mix powdered sugar with dairy-free milk and vanilla extract for the glaze; drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
